What's not to love about silky smooth skin?

We have medical grade lasers that are in a class of their own. Our class 4 medical grade laser systems are suitable for all skin types – including darker skin tones. The super-quick and efficient laser system will leave your skin feeling - quite literally - as soft as silk.

Advanced medical technology

The treatment uses advanced cooling systems that soothe and protect the skin by simultaneously cooling the skin throughout the treatment – meaning far less pain and big-time gain with the added benefit of fewer treatments typically needed compared to other laser systems.

After as few as six laser therapy treatments, you can look forward to dramatically-reduced hair growth.

Which frankly is a blessing as we start to bare more of our bodies for summer!

Laser Hair Removal FAQs
How many treatments will I need?

We recommend 6-12 treatments (depending on the area we are treating and your hair type), as well as maintenance treatments. Sometimes the face can require more treatments. Your therapist will provide you with a detailed treatment plan during your consultation.

Is laser hair removal suitable for all skin and hair types?

Our class 4 medical grade laser can effectively treat all skin types. Extremely light hair/Grey hair and red hair may not be suitable for treatment. Hair that is too thin will also not respond as effectively. We require all new customers to have a test patch during the consultation to establish suitability for treatment. If you are not suitable for treatment, you will not be charged.

Will my hair grow back?

Given you follow your personalized treatment plan and guidelines, laser hair removal will result in a permanent reduction.

How often will I need treatments?

Facial laser treatments begin with 2- 4-week intervals which are extended when the hair stops growing. You may require more laser sessions on the face if there is a hormonal imbalance present to which you can speak to your therapist about.
Body laser treatments begin with 6-week intervals which extend in time as the growth slows down. Treatment time for legs can extend to 8-12 weeks.

How do I prepare for laser hair removal?

You will need to shave the area 24 hours before all of your treatments. We recommend 24 hours to minimise skin irritations.

Do NOT wax, pluck, bleach, thread, or use hair removal creams. If you do, you will be required to wait a minimum of 2 weeks for the face and 3 weeks for the body before you can be treated.
Do NOT use fake tan 2-4 weeks prior to your session and no sun exposure for a minimum of 2 weeks. If you are sunburnt we would ask you to return in 4 weeks.

I don’t want to shave the area, why can't I wax?

Shaving allows the laser to locate your hair follicles. Other hair removal types will either disturb the hair follicle or leave no hair to help guide the laser. A clean shave with a sharp razor is a must.

Are there any products that I can't use prior to getting laser hair removal?

You must discontinue using products with Vitamin A 24 hours before treatment, and any topical prescription Vitamin A products for 14-days prior to treatment in the same treatment area.

How do I need to care for the area after treatment?

We strongly advise using a post treatment gel (available to purchase in store), as well as our LBSI Glycolic Scrub & LBSI SPF 30+ which will both protect the treatment area and discourage ingrown hairs.

No exercise or sweating 24 hours post treatment, no sun-exposure or fake tan in the areas for a minimum of 2 weeks, no swimming, spa, or sauna for 48 hours post treatment to avoid bacterial infections.

Does it hurt?

Laser hair removal is painless, however, everyone experiences something different.

Is there any downtime? What can I expect after my appointment?

Your skin may be pink/feel warm for up to 24 hours after treatment. In the first 48 hours post treatment, you may notice swelling around the hair follicles and feel an itchy sensation, this is a normal response - you may take an antihistamine if required, however, this is usually relieved by applying our post laser gel to soothe the area.

Pre and Post Laser Hair Removal Treatment
PRIOR to Laser Hair Removal Treatment

  • Shave the area 24 hours prior to treatment. Not doing so may result in additional charges
  • Do not wax, tweeze, bleach or use depilatory creams. This will impact the results obtained, and can increase the risk of unwanted side effects from treatment
  • If your last method of hair removal was with Laser/IPL, you must wait at least 3 weeks prior to your first laser treatment
  • Do not use melanin injections or have a spray tan 14 days prior to your treatment
  • Discontinue use of products containing Vitamin A for a minimum of 24 hours prior to treatment, in the treatment area
  • Discontinue use of topical prescription Vitamin A 14 days prior to treatment, in the treatment area
  • Avoid sun exposure two weeks prior to treatment
  • Let your therapist know of any changes in your medical history, medications and/ or supplements
